On April 11th, 2025, STEM Park Dar es salaam -Tanzania will host the Spring of Critical Thinking, a Science Café-style event designed to equip public secondary school students with essential critical thinking and media literacy skills. In an era where misinformation spreads rapidly, the ability to critically analyze information is more important than ever.
This interactive session will engage students in reviewing and discussing scientific studies and media reports on COVID-19, helping them develop the skills to distinguish between credible science and misinformation. Through expert guidance, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants will learn to evaluate sources, detect biases, and assess the reliability of information.
By focusing on real-world examples related to COVID-19, students will not only deepen their understanding of the pandemic but also gain tools for independent thinking and informed decision-making in broader scientific and social contexts. This initiative aligns with STEM Park Tanzania’s mission to nurture the next generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, and STEM leaders.
Come be part of this transformative learning experience as we empower young minds to think critically, question intelligently, and engage with science responsibly!
