"MNIR44” - celebrating 44 years from the inauguration of the Romanian National History Museum
Opening hours:
Daytime
- 10.00 – 18.00 (17.15 – Ticket Office closure) – Access is permitted through the main entrance from 12 Calea Victoriei street, after buying a ticket of 7 RON (general admission ticket)
Nightime
- 18.00 – 01.00 (12.15 – last admission) – Admission, based on a FREE entrance ticket, is permitted though the courtyard from Poştei street
Opened exhibitions: „Historical treasure”, „Lapidarium”, „Copy of Trajan's Column” Educational and creativity workshops:
- 18.00 – 20.00 - Creativity workshop "At the museum with the Queen", dedicated to children between 5 and 9 years; it will take place nearby the "Historical Treasure" permanent exhibition, organized by „Da’DeCe” Association (registration at [email protected])
- 18.30 – 20.30 – Educational and creativity workshop "Symbols of our ancestors" dedicated to children between 4 and 12 years. The workshop is organized by museum educators and artistic designers and will take place in "Copy of Trajan's Column" permanent exhibition (no registration is necessary, limited to the available places)

In the museum - „Lapidarium” exhibition
- 20.00 – 20.15 - Ballet spectacle, performed by "Floria Capsali" Choreography High School students
- 20.00 – 23.00 - "Hunting Bucharest-Museums' Hunt" contest, organized by Treasure Hunt Team (details and registration at http://vaneazabucurestiul.ro/vanatoarea-muzeelor/)
- 21.00 – 21.30 - Vocal-symphonic concert performed by students from "Dinu Lipatti" National College of Arts
- 23.00 – 23.30 – „Reflection” - visual theatre spectacle with life size puppets, performed by Lightwave Theatre Company
- 23.30 – 00.00 – Transylvanian Acoustic Medieval Punk concert, performed by "Ad-Hoc" band
Outside the museum - on Poştei street
- 19.00 – 20.00 – Ancient historical reenactment moment (battles between Romans and Dacians), performed by "Terra Dacica Aeterna” Association
- 20.00 – 21.00 – Historical European battle techniques reenactment moment (10th-15th century), performed by "Reconstituire a Tehnicilor de Luptă Istorice Europene (Compania Ursului Brun)" Association, in collaboration with "Abi" Foundation
- 21.30 – 22.00 – Historical-military reenactment moment: weapon handling demonstration, oath giving, presentation of the flag and military costume wore by the Romanian and German Armies during the First World War, and reconstitution battle, performed by "Tradiţia Militară" and "Deutsches Feikorps” Associations
Sunday, 22nd May 2016, the museum is open from 10:00 to 18:00. Ticket office closes with 45 minutes before closing time (last entry to the exhibition).
