Vincent Mirouse "How spacial control of Actin polymerisation orchestrates epithelial morphogenesis "

The Wave Regulatory Complex is a major activator of branched actin nucleation, inducing protrusions and well-known for its role in cell migration. Here, I will present data obtained showing how the WRC becomes planar polarised to promote collective cell migration. Moreover, I will described an unexpected function of the WRC at tricellular junctions where it promotes the resolution of cell intercalation, showing that actin polymerisation is a major driver of this key morphogenetic process.
