Part horrifying ambient-noise-terrorism and part doom-metal slash and burn ?

Gnaw est un groupe new-yorkais noise/metal/doom... créé par Alan Dubin après la dissolution de Khanate (dans lequel il côtoyait Stephen O'Malley...).
On y retrouve le guitariste Brian Beatrice, le multi-instrumentiste Carter Thornton, et le batteur Eric Neuser... Tout ce beau monde pour un climat lourd et terrifiant et pour un doom agrémenté de sons trouvés, d'enregistrements manipulés, d'oscillateurs tordus...
Élément essentiel : la voix d'Alan Dubin, constamment torturée, extirpée d'un puits sans fond... plutôt unique en son genre.
